Regular Season Round 16: UCAM Jairis - CREF Hola 55-70

LF2 top team - CREF Hola (15-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked UCAM Jairis (3-13) in Alcantarilla 70-55. The game was mostly controlled by CREF Hola. UCAM Jairis was better in second period 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding UCAM Jairis to just 7 points in fourth quarter. CREF Hola dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to UCAM Jairis' 28. CREF Hola forced 22 UCAM Jairis turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of Canadian forward Kendel Ross (185-88, college: Dayton) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and Jamaican center Tajay Ashmeade (190-89, college: Seton Hall, agency: LBM Management) who added 11 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Rwandan-American guard Tierra Henderson (178-87, college: UCLA) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Isabel Perez (188-90) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. CREF Hola have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group B with 15-1 record. Newly promoted UCAM Jairis keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. CREF Hola will face Andratx (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. UCAM Jairis will play against the league's second-placed Alcobendas and hope to win that game.
