Regular Season Round 4: Patriotas - Guerreros 89-71

First ranked host Patriotas (3-1) defeated one of their biggest challengers Guerreros (2-2) 89-71. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Patriotas. Guerreros was better in second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American guard Prince Obasi (193-91, college: Seattle, agency: Elite Talent Exchange) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Jorge Salazar contributed with 27 points for the winners. Four Patriotas players scored in double figures. American forward Randy Hunter (198-90, college: Guerreros) replied with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Diego Quiroz (182-85) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Guerreros. Guerreros' coach Cesar Cassiani tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Patriotas maintains first position with 3-1 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Guerreros at the other side keep the third place with two games lost. Patriotas' next round opponent will be league's leader Manizales at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Guerreros will play against Barrancabermeja CF and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
