The game between sixth ranked Gorizont II (9-16) and 7th ranked Sozh-GGU (5-21) in Minsk on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Gorizont II outscored guests from Gomel 86-59. The game without a history. Gorizont II led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sozh-GGU's 30. Gorizont II forced 19 Sozh-GGU turnovers and outrebounded them 43-29 including 19 on the offensive glass. It was a very good performance for forward Galina Shylovich (182-91) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Daria Panasyuk (176-96) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Gorizont II's coach Volha Padabed felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Ekaterina Charikova (174-82) answered with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Katsiaryna Nialepka (178-93) added 18 points in the effort for Sozh-GGU. Newly promoted Gorizont II maintains sixth place with 9-16 record. Sozh-GGU lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom.
