Important game to mention about took place in Zabok. Fifth ranked KK Zabok (11-6) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Kvarner (11-6) 82-79 in the game for the third place. It looked good early as Kvarner took a 15-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then KK Zabok took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 3 points. Kvarner was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Petar Maric (196-87, college: Lincoln Trail CC, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Bruno Zganec (201-95, agency: XL Basketball Agency) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four KK Zabok players scored in double figures. Center Marijan Cakarun (204-90) answered with 25 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and forward Dino Cinac (201-88, agency: Court Side) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kvarner. Kvarner's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for KK Zabok. KK Zabok moved-up to third place, which they share with Kvarner 2010. Kvarner lost their third game in a row. KK Zabok will play against bottom-ranked Slavonski Brod (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kvarner will play against Ribola Kastela (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
