NBB top team - Paschoalotto/Bauru (22-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Minas (16-9) 89-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Minas. The game was mostly controlled by Paschoalotto/Bauru. Minas was better in third quarter 25-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Minas to just 4 points in second quarter. Paschoalotto/Bauru made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Loser Minas keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Paschoalotto/Bauru will face Vivo/Franca (#7) in Sao Paulo in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Minas will play on the road against Unitri in Uberlandia and hope to win that game.
