Second Stage Round 3: Nysa Klodzko - Alba Chorzow 87-73

Not a big story in a game when Alba Chorzow (2-9) lost to Nysa Klodzko (8-3) in Kloszko 73-87 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 45-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Nysa Klodzko made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Nysa Klodzko outrebounded Alba Chorzow 42-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. It was a good game for guard Rafal Wojciechowski (192-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Point guard Marcin Kowalski (175-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists for the winners. Piotr Stepak (193-94) answered with 27 points and forward Tomasz Milewski (201-78) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Alba Chorzow. Alba Chorzow's coach Rafal Sobecki tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nysa Klodzko will face Mickiewicz (#7) in Katowice in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Alba Chorzow will play at home against Kalisz and hope to win that game.
