LFB top team - Perfumerias Avenida (18-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Mann Filter (5-15) in Salamanca 69-50. The game was mostly controlled by Perfumerias Avenida. Mann Filter managed to win fourth quarter 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Angelica Robinson (197-87, college: Georgia, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Croatian center Marija Rezan (198-89) chipped in 6 points and 8 rebounds. Latvian center Kristine Vitola (193-91, college: UTEP) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and the former international power forward Laura Herrera (190-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Perfumerias Avenida have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-2 record. Mann Filter lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Campus Promete and Al-Qazeres. Perfumerias Avenida will meet Gipuzkoa UPV (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mann Filter will play against Socinsa Bembibre and hope to secure a win.
