No shocking result in a game in Aanekoski where second ranked Aanekosken (18-6) defeated 8th ranked Pyrinto (8-16) 71-60 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-60. Aanekosken forced 25 Pyrinto turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Michaela Michaela Houser (170-91, college: Purdue, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import power forward Chandra Harris (186-89, college: Georgia St.) who added 18 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Jessica Schroll (180-91, college: Cent.Michigan) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Hanna Hurskainen (180-89) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Pyrinto's coach Ilpo Rantanen tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Aanekosken have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 18-6 record having four points less than leader Catz, which they share with ToPo. Pyrinto lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh place with 16 games lost. They share the position with FoA. Aanekosken will meet at home Tapiolan Honka (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pyrinto will play against ViVe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
