Regular Season Round 40: Shiga L-Stars - Kyoto Hannar. 55-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Kyoto Hannar.'s (32-6) road victory over 4th ranked Shiga L-Stars (22-14) 74-55 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Kyoto Hannar.. Shiga L-Stars was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and center Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kyoto Hannar. have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Hamamatsu P. and Okinawa GK. Shiga L-Stars lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 14 games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will face league's second-placed Hamamatsu Phoenix in Mikawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shiga L-Stars will play on the road against Fukuoka Rizing and hope to win that game.
