Regular Season Round 21: Tromso - Froya Basket 76-60

Leader Tromso delivered the fourteenth victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Froya Basket (4-16) 76-60. Froya Basket was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 23-5 third quarter run of Tromso. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Froya Basket to just 5 points in third quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Froya Basket's 34. They outrebounded Froya Basket 43-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American power forward Reggie Fuller (199-86, college: Binghamton) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Keon Lawrence (187-87, college: Seton Hall) contributed with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Tromso's coach Kenneth Webb used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Peter Bullock (198-82, college: Alaska-Anch.) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Adrian Schonning (190-93) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Froya Basket. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Tromso. They maintain first place with 14-4 record. Froya Basket lost their twelfth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Tromso will play against Centrum (#7) in Oslo in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Froya Basket will play at home against Baerum Basket and hopes to get back on the winning track.
