The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Toyota Alvark's (22-14) home victory over 5th ranked Wakayama T. (4-31) in Tokyo 100-60 on Sunday. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 23 points and 7 rebounds by American power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) did not help to save the game for Wakayama T.. Nigerian center Cyril Awere (211-85) added 8 points and 13 rebounds. Toyota Alvark have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 22-14 record. Wakayama T. lost eighteenth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 31 games lost. They share the position with Kumamoto V.. Toyota Alvark will meet Kumamoto V. (#6) on the road in the next round. Wakayama T. will play against the league's leader Hitachi Sunrockers and hope to secure a win.
