There was no surprise when 10th ranked AV Cantu (9-11) lost to fourth ranked Banco di Srd (14-6) in Sassari 69-86. The game was mostly controlled by Banco di Srd. AV Cantu was better in fourth quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Banco di Srd forced 28 AV Cantu turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Polish guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 assists and American guard Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) who added 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. American point guard Darius Johnson-Odom (187-89, college: Marquette) responded with 13 points and 6 assists and Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Five Banco di Srd and four AV Cantu players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Banco di Srd moved-up to third place, which they share with Grissin Bon RE. AV Cantu at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Giorgo Tesi PT. Banco di Srd will play against VL Pesaro (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. AV Cantu will play against the league's leader Armani Milano (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
