Regular Season Round 40: Fukuoka Rizing - Bambitious Nara 105-82

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Bambitious Nara (10-28) was rolled over on the road by tenth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (10-28) 105-82 on Sunday. The game without a history. Fukuoka Rizing led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 19 rebounds and 10 assists and power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) who added 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Mike St.John (203-84, college: La Salle, agency: Global Sports Plaza) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bambitious Nara's coach Ryutaro Onodera gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Takamatsu FA and Bambitious Nara. Bambitious Nara lost ninth consecutive game. Fukuoka Rizing will face higher ranked Shiga L-Stars (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
