An interesting game for DCU Mercy (10-4) which hosted in Dublin 4th ranked Liffey Celtics (8-6). Second ranked DCU Mercy had an easy win 74-46. DCU Mercy dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Liffey Celtics' 26. DCU Mercy forced 29 Liffey Celtics turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Erica Kennedy who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Caroline Stewart (182-90, college: Boston U.) who added 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Suzanne Maguire (183-75) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Ailbhe O'Connor scored 6 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. DCU Mercy have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-4 record having just three points less than leader TM Hotel Cork. Liffey Celtics lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with six games lost.
