The game in Tampere supposed to be also quite interesting. Sixth ranked ViVe (10-15) played at the court of 8th ranked Pyrinto (8-17). ViVe smashed Pyrinto 96-53 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 19-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-53. ViVe dominated on the defensive end, holding Pyrinto to just 6 points in second quarter. They also forced 21 Pyrinto turnovers and outrebounded them 44-24 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American swingman Korinne Campbell (182-88, college: W.Virginia, agency: Two Points) nailed 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and her fellow American import center Alexandra Stelfox (187) accounted for 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four ViVe players scored in double figures. American forward Jessica Schroll (180-91, college: Cent.Michigan) came up with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Hendderson Brittany added 6 points and 4 assists respectively for Pyrinto in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for ViVe. Newly promoted ViVe maintains sixth place with 10-15 record. Pyrinto lost their fifth game in a row. Pyrinto at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth position with 17 games lost. ViVe will meet at home league's leader Catz Lappeenranta in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pyrinto will have a break next round.
