Regular Season Round 18: Trikalla - Olympiacos 87-105

Leader Olympiacos delivered the seventeenth victory. This time they beat 10th ranked Aiolos Trikallon (6-12) 105-87. The game was mostly controlled by Olympiacos. Aiolos Trikallon was better in second period 31-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olympiacos shot 64.3 percent from the field and made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for the former international Vassilis Spanoulis (193-82, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 8 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). The former international Georgios Printezis (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Justin Ingram (189-85, college: Toledo, agency: Two Points) replied with 15 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import guard Alex Harris (196-86, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points in the effort for Aiolos Trikallon. Five Olympiacos and four Aiolos Trikallon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olympiacos (17-1) have an impressive 17-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Aiolos Trikallon at the other side keeps the tenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Koroivos and KAOD. Olympiacos will play against AGOR (#6) in Rethymno in the next round where they are favorite. Aiolos Trikallon will play on the road against Panelefsiniakos (#13) in Eleusina and hopes to get back on the winning track.
