There was no surprise in Spanga where 12th ranked 08 Stockholm (2-19) was defeated by tenth ranked Akropol (5-16) 97-79 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Akropol. 08 Stockholm managed to win fourth quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Akropol forced 21 08 Stockholm turnovers and outrebounded them 38-18 including a 24-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Akropol especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard Vanessa Abel (165-89, college: Duquesne) with 17 points, 5 assists and 8 steals and power forward Andjela Hrnjez (186-96) scored 12 points. 08 Stockholm's coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Akropol maintains tenth place with 5-16 record. 08 Stockholm lost nineteenth consecutive game. 08 Stockholm at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay dead last with 19 lost games.
