No shocking result in a game in Beirut where Al Riyadi (14-1) edged Homenetm. B (5-10) 100-99 on Wednesday. Homenetm. B trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 33-23 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 99-100 at the end of the game. Al Riyadi made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American-FYR Macedonian forward Jeremiah Massey (202-82, college: Kansas St.) fired 31 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) chipped in 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Dion Dixon (190-89, college: Cincinnati) produced 35 points (!!!) and 7 assists and Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) added 26 points and 16 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Homenetm. B players scored in double figures. Al Riyadi will face Al Moutahed in Tripoli in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Homenetm. B will play at home against UBA and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
