Regular Season Round 27: Den Bosch - Amsterdam 87-57

Date: March 5, 2015
There was no surprise when 7th ranked Amsterdam (3-19) was crushed on the road by second ranked Den Bosch (16-3) 87-57. They made 24-of-29 charity shots (82.8 percent) during the game, while Amsterdam only scored six points from the stripe. Den Bosch forced 19 Amsterdam turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international forward Stefan Wessels (203-84, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American guard Brandyn Curry (187-91, college: Harvard) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Aaron Roye (185-88) answered with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international swingman Dimeo Van Der Horst (195-91) added 11 points in the effort for Amsterdam. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Den Bosch maintains second place with 16-3 record having 2 victories less than leader Leiden. Amsterdam at the other side keeps the seventh position with 19 games lost. They share it with Weert. Den Bosch will play against Rotterdam (#5) on the road in the next round. Amsterdam will play against Groningen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
