Regular Season Round 41: Fukuoka Rizing - Shiga L-Stars 93-95

Ninth-ranked Fukuoka Rizing (10-30) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Shiga L-Stars (24-14). The visitors from Shiga managed to secure only two-point victory 95-93. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fukuoka Rizing. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Fukuoka Rizing won third quarter 28-27. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shiga L-Stars players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia, agency: Haylett Sports) nailed 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin) accounted for 24 points and 4 assists. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) came up with 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) added 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Fukuoka Rizing in the defeat. Four Shiga L-Stars and five Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars maintains fourth place with 24-14 record. Fukuoka Rizing at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 30 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will have a break next round. Fukuoka Rizing will play again at home against Shiga L-Stars (#4) and hope to win that game.
