Basketligan top team - Norrkoping Dolphins (24-8) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Umea (8-24) 85-58. The game without a history. Norrkoping Dolphins led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Umea's 36. They outrebounded Umea 39-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. American forward Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU) scored 25 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Joakim Kjellbom (212-79, college: N.Arizona) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. Canadian-British Kai Williams (198-88, college: S.Dakota St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and Egal Saleman (199-88) scored 18 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Norrkoping Dolphins maintains first position with 24-8 record. Umea lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 24 games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins are looking forward to face bottom-ranked KFUM Jamtland (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Umea will have a break next round.
