There was a small surprise in Fos-sur-Mer where fourteenth ranked Lille Metropole (10-14) beat 12th ranked Fos Ouest (10-13) 72-67 on Friday. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 24-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Fos Ouest was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Croatian center Franko Kastropil (212-84, agency: PEPI SPORT) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Burkinabe Jean-Victor Traore (204-85) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Senegalese power forward Mamadou Dia (201-78) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Gaetan Clerc (189-91) scored 12 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lille Metropole maintains fourteenth place with 10-14 record. Loser Fos Ouest dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Lille Metropole will face league's second-placed Monaco at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
