Regular Season Round 20: UL Eagles - UCC Demons 81-106

Premier League top team - UCC Demons (17-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked UL Eagles (5-12) in Limerick 106-81. UCC Demons dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to UL Eagles' 36 and made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game, while UL Eagles only scored nine points from the stripe. UCC Demons looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by UL Eagles' players. The best player for the winners was American forward Lehmon Colbert (198-88, college: Jacksonville) who scored 38 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. International point guard Kyle Hosford (175-89) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Orlando Parker (203-91, college: Wagner) produced 30 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Stephen King (196-86) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UL Eagles' coach Paul Kelleher gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. UCC Demons have an impressive 17-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-0 record. Loser UL Eagles keep the ninth place with 12 games lost. UCC Demons will meet at home bottom-ranked Dublin Inter (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. UL Eagles will play against Templeogue and hope to secure a win.
