Regular Season Round 41: Shimane SM - Takamatsu FA 73-95

Date: March 7, 2015
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked Takamatsu FA (11-28) outleveled on the road 7th ranked Shimane Magic (13-26) 95-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Takamatsu FA. Shimane Magic was better in third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Takamatsu FA dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Shimane Magic's 40. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) who scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Swingman Justin Watts (196-90, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 22 points. Guard Joe Chapman (193-84, college: Marquette, agency: I.D.S. Law) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Isiah Brown (203-89, college: E.Tenn.St.) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Takamatsu FA maintains eighth place with 11-28 record. Loser Shimane Magic keeps the seventh position with 26 games lost. Takamatsu FA will have a break next round.
