Regular Season Round 37: Hyogo S. - Toshiba BT 76-94

The game between Top Four teams took place in Hyogo. 4th placed host Hyogo S. (14-21) lost to third ranked Toshiba Thunders (27-10) 94-76. The game without a history. Toshiba Thunders led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hyogo S.'s 40. American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and the former international swingman Naoto Tsuji (185-89) accounted for 20 points. Four Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Shinnosuke Negoro (195-87) added 16 points respectively for Hyogo S. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toshiba Thunders have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains third place with 27-10 record having three points less than leader Hitachi SR. Hyogo S. at the other side keeps the fourth position with 21 games lost. Toshiba Thunders will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hyogo S. will play again at home against Toshiba Thunders (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
