Leader Iwate Big Bulls delivered the 32th victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 11th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (5-32) 84-64. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-64. Iwate Big Bulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) stepped up and scored 13 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Wayne Arnold (193-84, college: Tennessee St.) chipped in 18 points. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. Bahamas forward Zane Knowles (208-92, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: Blacktop Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and American center Will Foster (226-88, college: Gonzaga) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Tokyo Cinq R.'s coach Motofumi Aoki rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Iwate Big Bulls. They maintain first place with 32-7 record, which they share with Hamamatsu P. Tokyo Cinq R. lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 32 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tokyo Cinq R. will play again against the league's leader Iwate Big Bulls (#1) and hope to secure a win.
