SM-sarja top team - Catz Lappeenranta (24-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked ViVe (10-16) in Vimpeli 90-45. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of ViVe. The game without a history. Catz Lappeenranta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ViVe to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Catz Lappeenranta dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to ViVe's 32. Catz Lappeenranta forced 28 ViVe turnovers. The best player for the winners was American Chandrea Jones (175-87, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) who scored 27 points and 4 steals. Russian forward Elena Reshetko (184-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Five Catz Lappeenranta players scored in double figures.
