Rather expected game when 6th ranked Kumamoto V. (4-32) was crushed at home by fourth ranked Toyota Alvark (23-14) 105-52 on Saturday. The game without a history. Toyota Alvark led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Kumamoto V.'s 36 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Toyota Alvark forced 22 Kumamoto V. turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Jeff Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Garlon Green (201-91, college: TCU) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and center Josh Warren (206-88, college: Troy) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Toyota Alvark. They maintain fourth place with 23-14 record. Kumamoto V. lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with 32 games lost. Toyota Alvark will have a break next round. Kumamoto V. will play again at home against Toyota Alvark (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
