Regular Season Round 22: Polfarmex KT - AZS Koszalin 76-70

Very important is a road loss of third ranked AZS Koszalin (16-6) against eleventh ranked AZS Polfarmex (10-13) on Saturday night. Visiting AZS Koszalin was defeated by AZS Polfarmex in a tough game in Kutno 70-76. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But AZS Koszalin won third quarter 20-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Czech Patrik Auda (206-89, college: Seton Hall) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St.) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four AZS Polfarmex players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Qyntel Woods (202-81, college: N.Mississippi JC) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and the former international power forward Szymon Szewczyk (209-82) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Newly promoted AZS Polfarmex maintains eleventh position with 10-13 record. AZS Koszalin at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Rosa Radom. AZS Polfarmex will play against higher ranked Asseco (#7) in Gdynia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AZS Koszalin will play at home against Twarde Pierniki (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
