Leader Perfumerias Avenida delivered the nineteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 9th ranked Gipuzkoa UPV (8-13) 89-53 in San Sebastian. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gipuzkoa UPV. The game without a history. Perfumerias Avenida led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Perfumerias Avenida outrebounded Gipuzkoa UPV 34-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Perfumerias Avenida especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. Paraguayan-Italian swingman Paola Ferrari (178-85, agency: Josep and Nicolas) stepped up and scored 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international swingman Marta Fernandez (178-81) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Perfumerias Avenida players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Lenita Sanford (190-89, college: UNLV) with 12 points and 8 rebounds and center Miriam Foraste (190-91, agency: Regeneracom Sports) scored 14 points.
