Regular Season Round 38: Sodertalje - Sundsvall 101-89

Date: March 7, 2015
Rather expected game when 5th ranked Sundsvall Dragons (21-11) were defeated on the road by third ranked Sodertalje Kings (23-8) 101-89 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sodertalje Kings. Sundsvall Dragons managed to win fourth quarter 29-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sodertalje Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots) to lead the charge for the winners and Danish guard Darko Jukic (198-90, agency: Two Points) chipped in 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Icelandic forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Akeem Wright (200-84, college: Kansas St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Sodertalje Kings and five Sundsvall Dragons players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Sundsvall Dragons at the other side keep the fifth position with 11 games lost. Sodertalje Kings are looking forward to face Eco Orebro (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sundsvall Dragons will play against LF Basket (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
