Second Stage Round 2: Moutahed - Al Riyadi 79-87

An interesting game for Al Riyadi (15-1) which played road game in Tripoli against Al Moutahed (6-10). Al Riyadi managed to get a 8-point victory 87-79. The guests were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-16 Al Moutahed's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 87-79 at the end of the game. Al Riyadi made 27-of-32 charity shots (84.4 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by Al Moutahed helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) who scored 27 points and 6 rebounds. American-FYR Macedonian forward Jeremiah Massey (202-82, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Four Al Riyadi players scored in double figures.
