Regular Season Round 42: Kyoto Hannar. - Hamamatsu P. 77-67

Rather predictable result when first ranked Kyoto Hannar. (34-6) won against at home one of their biggest challengers Hamamatsu Phoenix (32-8) 77-67 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Kyoto Hannar.. Hamamatsu Phoenix was better in third quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hamamatsu Phoenix was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward David Palmer (201-82, college: S.Utah) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Shun Watanuki (178-87) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Five Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Mo Charlo (203-83, college: Nevada) replied with 26 points and Nigerian-Canadian Olu Ashaolu (200-88, college: Oregon, agency: APAA Sports Group) added 17 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Hamamatsu Phoenix. Kyoto Hannar. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 34-6 record. Loser Hamamatsu Phoenix dropped to the second place with eight games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will face Shiga L-Stars (#4) at home in the next round. Hamamatsu Phoenix will play against Osaka Evessa and hope to win that game.
