Regular Season Round 42: Saitama Bron. - Shinshu BW 84-98

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Shinshu BW (17-21) defeated on the road 12th ranked Saitama Broncos (4-34) 98-84 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Shinshu BW. Saitama Broncos was better in second period 29-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Saitama Broncos' players. It was a good game for American forward DeVaughn Washington (202-89, college: Ohio) who led his team to a victory with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Somalian forward Mohamed Abukar (208-85, college: San Diego St., agency: Two Points) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Vincentian power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) replied with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and forward Yuki Nobuhira (190-87) added 11 points and 6 assists in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Shinshu BW maintains seventh position with 17-21 record. Saitama Broncos lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 34 games lost. Shinshu BW will face higher ranked Aomori Watts (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saitama Broncos will play against Fukushima (#9) and hope to win that game.
