Regular Season Round 42: Bambitious Nara - Oita H.Devils 76-74

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Bambitious Nara (11-29) edged at home 6th ranked Oita Heat Devils (15-25) 76-74 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 41-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Tatsuya Suzuki (169-91) contributed with 13 points and 9 assists for the winners. Four Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. American center Todd O'Brien (213-89, college: UAB) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Demetri McCamey (191-89, college: Illinois) added 20 points and 4 assists in the effort for Oita Heat Devils. Bambitious Nara moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Takamatsu FA. Oita Heat Devils at the other side keep the sixth position with 25 games lost. Bambitious Nara will face Fukuoka Rizing (#10) at home in the next round.
