Regular Season Round 22: Stelmet ZG - Trefl Sopot 70-62

TBL top team - Stelmet (18-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Trefl (10-12) in Zielona Gora 70-62. It looked good early as Trefl took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Stelmet had a 24-11 second period charge getting the lead and Trefl was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-70. American-Georgian swingman Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) fired 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. The former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. International Michal Michalak (197-93) produced 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Lithuanian forward Eimantas Bendzius (205-90) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Trefl's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Stelmet have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-4 record. Trefl at the other side keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. Stelmet's next round opponent will be Anwil (#10) in Wloclawek and are hoping to win another game. Trefl will play at home against Energa Czarni and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
