Regular Season Round 22: Stabill Jezioro - Asseco 78-87

Very expected game when 13th ranked Stabill Jezioro (6-16) lost to seventh ranked Asseco (13-9) in Tarnobrzeg 78-87 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-78. Asseco dominated on the defensive end, holding Stabill Jezioro to just 7 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Stabill Jezioro's 42. It was a very good performance for Lithuanian center Ovidijus Galdikas (217-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds. American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Five Asseco players scored in double figures. U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU, agency: SDJ Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard Josh Miller (170-87, college: W.Virginia St.) added 21 points and 12 assists in the effort for Stabill Jezioro. Asseco maintains seventh position with 13-9 record. Loser Stabill Jezioro keeps the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. Asseco will face AZS Polfarmex (#11) in Kutno in the next round. Stabill Jezioro will play on the road against Wilki Morskie in Szczecin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
