Regular Season Round 23: Dijon - Cholet 68-70

A very interesting game took place in JDA Dijon. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th placed JDA Dijon (13-10) to fifteenth ranked Cholet Basket (8-15) 70-68 on Monday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. JDA Dijon was ahead by 12 points after three quarters before a 26-12 charge of Cholet Basket, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: W.Virginia) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Rudy Jomby (196-88) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American Steven Gray (196-89, college: Gonzaga) answered with 29 points and the other American import point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for JDA Dijon. JDA Dijon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cholet Basket maintains fifteenth place with 8-15 record. JDA Dijon lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fourth position with ten games lost. Cholet Basket will have a break next round. JDA Dijon will play at home against Limoges CSP Elite (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
