Regular Season Round 21: Angers - Mondeville 87-72

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Angers (13-8) defeated at home 11th ranked Mondeville (7-14) 87-72 on Tuesday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Angers made 29-of-34 free shots (85.3 percent) during the game, while Mondeville only scored nine points from the stripe. Mondeville was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: Arizona St.) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Czech forward Romana Hejdova (184-88) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) who recorded 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international point guard Kristen Sharp (175-81, college: Cincinnati) added 15 points respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Mondeville's coach Romain Lhermitte rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Angers moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Arras. Mondeville lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Angers will face Union Hainaut (#13) in Saint-Amand in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mondeville will play at home against the league's leader Bourges and hope to win that game.
