No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Angers (13-8) defeated at home 11th ranked Mondeville (7-14) 87-72 on Tuesday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Angers made 29-of-34 free shots (85.3 percent) during the game, while Mondeville only scored nine points from the stripe. Mondeville was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: Arizona St.) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Angers will face Union Hainaut (#13) in Saint-Amand in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mondeville will play at home against the league's leader Bourges and hope to win that game.
