Regular Season Round 39: Sundsvall - LF Basket 85-88

The most exciting game of round 39 in the Basketligan took place in Sundsvall. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked Sundsvall Dragons (21-12) to fourth ranked LF Basket (23-11) 88-85 in the game for the fourth place. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 25-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. LF Basket made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds. American guard Alex Wesby (198-80, college: Temple, agency: R.H.Consultancy) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Icelandic forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) who recorded a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists and American swingman Akeem Wright (200-84, college: Kansas St.) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. LF Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 23-11 record. Sundsvall Dragons at the other side keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. LF Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sundsvall Dragons will play on the road against Boras Basket (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
