Bottom-ranked Elitzur Ramla managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of fifteen consecutive loses on Tuesday night. This time they won against tenth-ranked Ironi Ashkelon 90-81. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ironi Ashkelon won fourth quarter 25-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Elitzur Ramla made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American forward Billy White (203-89, college: San Diego St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Anthony Fisher (191-86) chipped in 26 points. Four Elitzur Ramla players scored in double figures. Elitzur Ramla's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Alan Skverer (-93) with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Marcus Moore (198-80, college: Washington St., agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Elitzur Ramla maintains fourteenth place with 2-19 record. Ironi Ashkelon lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Hapoel K/S. Elitzur Ramla will meet at home higher ranked Maccabi Raanana (#13) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ironi Ashkelon will play against Hapoel Kazrin and hope to secure a win.
