Very predictable result when third ranked Ourense (16-7) defeated at home bottom-ranked Clinicas Rincon (4-19) 74-66 on Friday. The game without a history. Ourense led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ourense forced 29 Clinicas Rincon turnovers. Point guard Pedro Rivero (186-79) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 steals for the winners and Lithuanian center Deividas Busma (212-87, college: Idaho St., agency: Two Points) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ourense's coach Gonzalo Garcia allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side the former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (207-76, agency: Duran International) responded with 28 points and 9 rebounds and Romaric Benemene (202-97) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ourense. They maintain third place with 16-7 record having just three points less than leader Breogan. Clinicas Rincon lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. Ourense will face league's leader Leche Rio Breogan in Lugo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Clinicas Rincon will play at home against Palma (#8) and hope to win that game.
