Second Stage Round 3: Al Riyadi - UBA 97-71

The game between Top Four teams took place in Beirut. host Al Riyadi (16-1) smashed UBA (10-7) 97-71. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 26 points. Al Riyadi made 22-of-23 free shots (95.7 percent) during the game, while UBA only scored six points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American-FYR Macedonian forward Jeremiah Massey (202-82, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 26 points and 8 rebounds. Five Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. Al Riyadi's coach Slobodan Subotic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) who recorded 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and the former international power forward Ali Kanaan (207-85, college: Mass.-Lowell) added 15 points and 16 rebounds respectively.
