Very predictable result in Uberlandia where fifth ranked Minas (17-9) smashed 13th ranked Unitri (7-18) 75-56 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Minas. Unitri was better in fourth quarter 17-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Leonardo Demetrio (203-94) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Ralfi Ansaloni (211-87) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Minas players scored in double figures. The former international Audrei Parisotto (196-84) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Icaro Parisotto (175-92, college: San Diego Chr.) scored 4 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Minas maintains fifth position with 17-9 record. Unitri lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. Minas will face league's second-placed Winner/Limeira on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Unitri will play against Rio Claro (#16) and hope to win that game.
