Very important is a road loss of third ranked Boulazac Basket (17-8) against seventh ranked Denain Voltaire (14-10) on Friday night. Visiting Boulazac Basket was crushed by Denain Voltaire in Denain 76-55. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boulazac Basket. The game without a history. Denain Voltaire led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Denain Voltaire outrebounded Boulazac Basket 39-22 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American power forward Erroyl Bing (198-82, college: E.Carolina) who led his team to a victory with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import swingman Austin Hollins (193-91, college: Minnesota) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Denain Voltaire players scored in double figures. British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) replied with 10 points and 7 rebounds and Nigerian power forward Dinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: KMG Sports Management) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Boulazac Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Denain Voltaire moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Orchy. Boulazac Basket at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Denain Voltaire will play against higher ranked Chorale de Roanne (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Boulazac Basket will have a break next round.
