The game in Anjo was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Denso Iris (23-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Aishin Wings (11-18). Denso Iris defeated Aishin Wings 65-53. It looked good early as Aishin Wings took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Denso Iris had a 20-9 second period charge getting the lead and Aishin Wings were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 53-65. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 8 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws). International guard Minami Iju (168-90) accounted for 14 points and 5 assists for the winning side. International power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) came up with 16 points and power forward Shiyu Sato (178-87) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Aishin Wings in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Denso Iris have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Fujitsu RW. Aishin Wings at the other side keep the eighth position with 18 games lost. Denso Iris will play against Fujitsu RW (#3) in Kawasaki in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Aishin Wings will have a break next round.
