Second Stage Round 16: Dynamo Polotsk - Tsmoki III 86-92

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Dynamo Polotsk (3-13) was defeated at home by bottom-ranked Tsmoki III (3-23) 92-86 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-15. But Dynamo Polotsk won second period 28-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Tsmoki III won last quarter 25-20. Guard Vlad Mikulskiy (188-98) fired 36 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Evgeniy Pankratovic (186-98) chipped in 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Tsmoki III's coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Guard Pavel Kadol (195-89) produced 19 points and 5 assists and point guard Ilya Tolkanitsa (180-88) added 18 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Four Dynamo Polotsk players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Tsmoki III maintains twelfth position in League with 3-23 record. Dynamo Polotsk at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Tsmoki III will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dynamo Polotsk will play against Impuls BGUIR (#7) and hope to secure a win.
