Tenth-ranked BG Lulea (5-9) made lots of trouble for second ranked Taby Basket (13-4) on Saturday. The visitors from Taby managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 21-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Taby Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 75.0 percentage. It was a great evening for forward Hampus Ahlin (194-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Guard Mattias Herlitz (190-94) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Denzel Andersson (202-96) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and forward Andreas Von Uthmann (197-96) scored 15 points. Four BG Lulea players scored in double figures. BG Lulea's coach Fredrik Joulamo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Taby Basket have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain second place in BEHS forts with 13-4 record having just -5 victories less than leader Malbas, which they share with Helsingborg. BG Lulea lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with nine games lost. Taby Basket will meet at home Orongo Dragons (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BG Lulea will play against KFUM Blackebergs in Vallingby and hope to secure a win.
