Regular Season Round 24: Boulogne - Nancy 82-89

Very expected game in Boulogne-sur-Mer where 17th ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (5-19) was defeated by fifth ranked Sluc Nancy (14-10) 89-82 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 28-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Sluc Nancy made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American Vaughn Duggins (190-87, college: Wright St.) who scored 24 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American-Bulgarian point guard Keydren Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Sluc Nancy's coach Alain Weisz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American Alando Tucker (198-84, college: Wisconsin) who recorded 24 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Stephen Brun (202-80) added 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Sluc Nancy moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Paris-Levallois. Newly promoted SO Maritime Boulogne keeps the seventeenth position with 19 games lost. Sluc Nancy will face Chalons-Reims (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SO Maritime Boulogne will play against Chalon/Saor (#12) and hope to win that game.
