Regular Season Round 23: Stelmet ZG - Anwil 87-58

TBL top team - Stelmet (19-4) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Anwil (10-13) in Zielona Gora 87-58. The game was mostly controlled by Stelmet. Anwil managed to win fourth quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Stelmet especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. It was a great evening for American-Georgian swingman Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. International Aaron Cel (203-87) helped adding 6 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized German forward Konrad Wysocki (200-82, college: Princeton) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Italian center Andrea Crosariol (210-84, college: Fair Dickinson) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Stelmet have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-4 record. Anwil at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Torun and Trefl Sopot. Stelmet are looking forward to face Energa Czarni (#6) in Slupsk in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Anwil will play at home against Wikana Start and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
